It's been a long and winding year from summer to summer. As Wayne Campbell once said "a little older; a little wiser." A lot has changed in my riding, my bike, my process as a filmmaker, how I set up and run my camera packages. The one project that is truly indicative of pushing myself … Continue reading July to July
Lately I've been working with Taj Mihelich over at Fairdale bikes and we've recently put up a new video to promote their super rad pannier skate rack. This video is totally Taj's style, and sense of humor, and it was a blast shooting with one of my child hood heroes. Take a look and let … Continue reading Fairdale Bikes pannier skate rack video
After long debate whether to upload to my website or wait until Bicycle Film Festival I've decided to upload my mini-cycling documentary called "Pedal People." I'm really happy with the way this piece came together; from meeting and getting to know all the cyclists to listening to all the Texas based music harmoniously spin together. … Continue reading Pedal People
As I was thumbing around through some of my media for my cycling documentary "Pedal People" I found some footage of one of Austin's fallen cyclist friends Joseph De La Cruz. After seeing the footage again I had to put something together so that all my friends could remember Joe the way we remember him … Continue reading Found footage of the Hump Day Nooner group ride from 3-30-2011 edit
I made this short video for the Austin Cycling Association for their annual Armadillo Hill Country Classic ride. I got to register for the 14 mile ride (shortest distance), but it wasn't easy because I had all my camera gear on me. In addition to that I wasn't able to make arrangements to borrow a … Continue reading Armadillo Hill Country Classic Ride
A few weeks ago Tom LaMarche & Tony Fast came down to the lone star state to get some pedaling in, see some sights and enjoy the Texas heat. John Prolly asked if I'd come out and film with the guys. No set schedule or any objectives at all, just having fun pedaling some bikes … Continue reading Tom & Tony’s Texas Cookout video is up!
Taj Mihelich had an awesome idea for a traditional BMX jam and Odyssey and many other sponsors helped put it together over this past weekend. It was by far one of the most amazing jams I've ever been to and will be very hard to top. Featured events in this video are the Dragon Slayer … Continue reading Odyssey’s Texas Toast Jam – 5-28-2011
I witnessed BMX history yesterday at 7:38pm when Mike Aitken followed Tom Dugan through the dirt jumps at the Odyssey Texas Toast jam yesterday (5-29-2011). It was his first run at a contest since his near fatal crash. It was incredible.
Josh Gordon and I have been riding BMX together for almost 15 years now and what I love most about riding with my best mate is his ambition for fun. That ambition has led him to be one of the new additions to the flow team of riders on Specialized and has been shredding all … Continue reading Josh Gordon filming at the Bamboozled House
Today made me feel like I was 16 all over again. Towards the end of the day Josh and I convinced four of our other dudes to come out to ride/skate this ditch in South Austin. It took some work, but once we all got out there and had some fun pedaling in a rad … Continue reading A day in a ditch, but in a good way.
